Activity: Equipment upgrade/restructured premises

o Checking of the existing computer laboratory equipment, software and network infrastructure was completed (November, 2006).
o All proposed equipment which will enable running of the project activities and reaching specific outcomes was purchased (December, 2006).
o Reconstruction of two premises: the video conference room and the computer laboratory was done. All necessary furniture was purchased from the Faculty’s own budget, as it is according to the rules of EC ineligible cost from Tempus grant (May, 2007).
o All purchased equipment was installed in two rooms: the video conference room and the computer classroom (June, 2007).
o 126 books were bought and put in use (December, 2007).
o The softwares were bought (December, 2007). We are waiting for SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and for the access to the Cochrane collaboration.
o Several softwares were bought and installed (December, 2007).
o Access to the Cochrane collaboration (April, 2009)
o 30 computers were bought and installed (March, 2009)
o SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) was bought and installed (June, 2009).

Activity: Development and accreditation of MHPM programme

o Reviewing the content of existing courses in discipline related to the health policy and health management at the universities in Serbia and Europe was successfully finished (January, 2007).
o The proposed teaching postgraduate programme for Master of Health Policy and Management – MHPM curriculum was defined and adopted by all consortium members during the second meeting which was held in Rome in February 2007.
o The coordinators for obligatory courses were appointed (March, 2007)
o The coordinators for elective courses were appointed (July, 2007)
o Six obligatory courses were developed (December, 2007)
o The peer review of the obligatory courses was done by individual expert, Prof. Laaser (December, 2007).
o The MHPM programme successfully passed through the accreditation procedure last year as academic specialization (Master was not recognized in the Statute of the School of Medicine, Belgrade at that time)
o Recently (at the end of 2007), the Statute of SoM has changed and now it is possible to have a master. We started again with the accreditation procedure at the beginning of 2008.
o The MHPM was approved as a master by the Scientific-Educational Council of School of Medicine, Belgrade on March 25, 2008.
o Almost all elective courses were developed (April, 2008)
o The approval of MHPM by the University Senate is ongoing.
o The MHPM (MASTER of Health policy and management) programme successfully passed through the accreditation procedure by the Belgrade University Senate on June 4, 2008.
o The MHPM (MASTER of Health policy and management) programme successfully passed through the National Accreditation Commision (June, 2009).

Activity: Mobility during the project life

o Number of Serbia – Europe mobility flows: 51
o Number of Europe – Serbia mobility flowes: 16
o Number of Serbia and neighboring countries - internal mobility flows: 5 (2 + 3)
o Number of EU internal mobility flows: 6
o Europe – Europe: 6

Activity: Mobility and reeducation teaching staff from C-SPH

o Summer school in HPM & intensive course in English language, Belgrade, 4–7 September, 2007. Lecturers: Consortium members from Rome and Dresden (16 participants).
o Intensive courses in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Rome, October–November, 2007 (3 teaching assistants).
o Conference: Quality in Public Health Education, Krakow, 29–30 November, 2007 (5 professors attended the Conference)
o Placement in Dresden, 16–22 December, 2007 (2 teaching assistants).
o E-learning course for 16 participants (teaching staff from SPH, Belgrade): Belgrade, February – March, 2008.
o UCL Summer School: Epidemiological Methods and Analysis, Krakow, June 23-27 (5 teaching assistants)
o Course in SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) for SPH teaching staff (12 teaching assistants and 6 professors), September, 2008
Intensive courses in Health Management, Rome, February and June, 2009 (6 teaching assistants).

Activity: Students' mobility from C-SPH to Europe

o 13 MHPM students atended intensive course in Health Management in Dresden  (May 4-9, 2009).

Activity: Courses in English language and computer skills for MHPM students

o Intensive course in English language for MHPM students: Belgrade, March–April, 2008.
o Intensive course in computer skills for MHPM students: Belgrade, March–April, 2008.

 Activity: Delivery of MHPM courses

o 23 students were enrolled in MHPM (September, 2008)
o
Delivery of two obligatory courses (Introduction to Public Health Policy and Introduction to Health Systems) started on October 4, 2008.
o Delivery of all six obligatory courses was finished in March, 2009. 

o Delivery of  elective courses started in April 4, 2009 and finished in June, 13, 2009. 

 Activity: Dissemination of the project results

 o Tempus website was created: htpp//www. psphs.med.bg.ac.yu  (March, 2007)
 o Tempus project was presented at 5 conferences in Serbia (Belgrade - 3, Novi Sad -1, Kraljevo -1) and 4 out of Serbia (Ren,  France; Banjaluka and Foča, Republic of Srpska, BiH; Podgorica, Montenegro):

o MHPM was announced in ASPHER bilten (2006)
MHPM was annonceds Serbian in newspaper ”Politika“ (September and December, 2007).
o 3000 leaflets and 500 folders were printed (October, 2007).
o MPHM was announced in Serbian newspaper ”Politika“ (September, 2008)
o Paliative and Pain Medicine Project – Tempus dissemination conference, Belgrade, July 17, 2009
o Buillding of Bioethics Master Program in Serbia – Tempus dissemination conference, Belgrade, September 29, 2009

Activity: Management of the Project

o The Project Management Board and Quality Control Committee were established (October, 2006)
o The Internal Agreement was created by the grant holder’s institution and signed by all partners (February, 2007)

EC monitoring of the Project:

 o Тhe monitoring visit was held on December 17, 2007 at the School of Medicine, Belgrade by the representatives from National Tempus Office Serbia: Mr. Stefan Dukiandjijev and Mrs. Marija Filipović Ožegović (Letter from EC, March 2008)

Activity: Reporting to the EC

o The first project report was sent to the EC on April 14, 2007 (See relevant documents)
